not much to report from here...we're still "patiently" waiting for our call. i thought maybe if i updated the look of our blog that might make things go faster and bring us good luck?? let's hope so!
we did make a trip to iowa earlier this month & were surprised by numerous members of heath's family with some great baby gifts! they presented us with our pack & play, a pack & play sheet, a handmade hawkeye blanket (b/c you know we're going to have a hawkeye baby!) and gift cards to both babies-r-us and target. yay! thank you ahrens' family! (on a side note, heath had to dodge water balloons before and after opening gifts...there are a couple girl cousins that seem to enjoy 'torturing' him. yes, i'm talking about you whitney and peyton!)
on a positive note, we have recently heard of numerous infant referrals at los pisingos! hopefully that means we are getting closer & moving up the ranks.

Not THE Call, But a Call!
when i arrived at the softball fields last night, heath casually announced to me that bettina had left a message for us that afternoon. my first thought was, "and you didn't drop everything and call me to tell me this?!" he then told me that she said that our dossier has now been translated and will be heading to los pisingos shortly! YAY! apparently i must have looked pretty excited because my cousin leah said it was pretty cool to see my face light up when he told me. :) after our game (which we won 15-10! yay foul swingers!) i called home to listen to the message myself and it was true. i'm thinking i might be saving that message for while! bettina said that she will call again as soon as it arrives at LP, but she is hoping it is soon. as soon it is delivered we could literally get THE call any time. yippee!
